Terms and ConditionsYou must read and agree to the following terms and conditions of hire before the rental of your costume
1/ All costs of hire fees, retail purchases and bonds are to be paid in full before the costumes are collected from Groovy Costumes. 2/ A bond will be charged on each costume, additional to the cost of hire. The bond is only a ‘Good Will Gesture’. It does not cover the value of the costume. The bond will be refunded in part or in full, depending on the condition of the returned costume. Costumes are to be returned in the condition they were hired/sent and by the agreed date. Loss of, or damage to costumes, wigs and accessories will be charged at the repair or placement cost. Late fees of $10.00 per day occur for costumes not received back by due date. Funds may be taken from bond accordingly.
3/ All hires instore require photo Identification such as New Zealand drivers licence. 4/ We do all the cleaning !!! Please do not attempt to wash the costume yourself. Every costume is thoroughly washed or Dry Cleaned after each hire so our stock stays fresh and in good condition. 5/ All fees are to be paid in full before the costume is hired/sent. Courier charges vary, depending on size, weight and distance. Costumes to be sent via courier only.
6/ All costumes, wigs and accessories hired are not to be altered in any way. 7/ Please check the sizing chart carefully, as no refunds will be given for garments that do not fit. Once costume has been received, they are considered hired and they are your responsibility. Your payment of costume is deemed have read these Terms & Conditions. No refunds will be given for costumes not worn. 8/ If you pre book your costume ahead of time. A $20 booking fee is required to be paid. This amount will come of your final payment. If you cancel your costume up to 5 days before your booked date a 25% cancelation fee applies and if you cancel within 5 days of the booked date then the booking fee will then become the cancelation fee. 9/ There are no refunds or exchanges on hires, subject to the rights conferred under the Consumer Guarantees Act 199310/ In the event that the costume is not returned, you will be charged the full purchase price of the costume plus any fees that may occur.11/ In the unlikely event that there is a problem with the costume delivered (wrong item, missing item, damaged etc.) please let us know immediately, before the costume is worn.12/ If a Groovy Costume garment bag is supplied, damage to or loss of this bag will be charged at a cost of $5 per bag. 13/ All costs incurred by Groovy Costumes ltd, in the recovery of any debts will be charged to the customer in addition to the original debt.
14/ Refunds on retail purchases will only be made where items are defective and can’t be replaced, subject to the rights conferred under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Please remember, that the costumes belong to us, some of them are very expensive and we expect you to take good care of them while you have them on rental.
